Let's Try clubs are a new type of learning exchange club, where you can share things you know with people who don't, and learn stuff you wish you knew from people who do.
Members can share whatever skills, hobbies and interests they fancy in fun, friendly and informal groups. Come along to a Let's Try workshop, and discover talents and interests you never knew you had! When you participate in a workshop, you'll automatically become a Let's Try club member. You can then attend any of the one-off or regular workshops that interest you, and you may even be inspired to share some of your own hidden talents by letting us help you to lead a workshop of your own (only if you want to!).
Workshops are being held in libraries, community centres and open spaces around Southampton.
Let's Try clubs were originally intended for adults over the age of 19. Let's Try was a Transformation Fund project, supported by Southampton City Council and TWICS (Training for Work in Communities). The project finished at the end of March 2010. Any Learning Exchanges now being run are being done so by individuals who are keen to share their skills and learn from others. A Toolkit offering guidance on setting up Learning Exchanges is available in the Let's Try Again section.
